TAC Private Lessons
Triangle Aquatic Center offers private and semi-private lessons for those who are interested in one-on-one instruction, need more flexibility with scheduling on a lesson-by-lesson basis, or have a specific area of interest.
Private Lesson Information
Classes are 30 minutes and can be in either the instructional or program pool, depending on the needs and level of the student.
There are no age restrictions for private swim lessons. There are limits on the dates and times that private lessons can be conducted.
To signup for Private and Semi-Private Lessons, log into you Amilia account:
- Select Store (from the homepage)
- Select Private Lessons (1:1) or Semi-Private Lessons (2:1)
- Select the 30-minute session that appears (disregard the price if you have a Private Lesson Package)
- Select your Instructor.
Once your Instructor has been selected, you will be able view their availability. Select your desired date with the green dot under it (this will open the available times for the selected date). Then choose the time of the lesson you would like.
If you are paying for a single private lesson (without a lesson package), you will be prompted to pay the fee upon selecting “Book Now”. You will then receive a confirmation email.
If you have a lesson package on your account, you will be able to use one of your available passes to book the lesson. Select the Private Lesson Rate drop down, then select Private Lesson Package. After this, you will select “Book Now”. You will then receive a confirmation email and the pass will be removed from your package.

Private Lesson Policies and Procedures
- Full payment is due prior to the start of each Private Lesson. Private Lesson series of six (6) or more lessons booked at one time must be paid in full prior to the lesson being taught on the first lesson date.
- The Private Lesson series discount is only given when six (6) or more Private Lessons are booked and paid for in one transaction, prior to the start of the first lesson.
- 48 hour advance notice is required for requesting a Private Lesson.
- 48 hour advance notice is also required for cancellations or rescheduling. The request must be sent in writing via email to both the Private Lesson instructor and [email protected] , or the lesson will be charged in full and not rescheduled. Same day cancellations or no-shows will be charged full fees.
- Triangle Aquatic Center will notify families as soon as possible about facility closures or cancellations due to instructor illness. Private Lessons will be rescheduled based on Instructor availability.
