Beginning in 2017, the Triangle Aquatic Center will begin live-streaming swim events. TAC has partnered with FloSports TV from Austin, TX to offer subscription services for five of TAC’s biggest events.
The first broadcast event will be the 2017 NC Age Group Short Course Championships, February 23-26. Other events include the 2017 TYR Triangle Classic, the 2017 NC Age Group Long Course Championships, the 2017 TAC TITANS Big Southern Classic, and the 2017 TYR Blizzard Blitz.
The partnership with FloSports brings TAC a truly professional broadcast and production team. FloSports Swim Production team is headed by Clark Burckle, a 2012 Olympic swimmer. FloSports was founded in 2012, producing and broadcasting events for 22 sports. The events scheduled at TAC will be FloSports first swim broadcast in North Carolina.
“Live streaming of our events is just a natural progression in the services offered by TAC”, according to Mark Frank, TAC’s Events & Marketing Director. “It is important for us to be able to offer our patron’s families who are unable to attend an event at TAC the opportunity to view their loved ones in action.” Archived footage of the events will also benefit coaches and swimmers who can review a race to improve future performance.
FloSports will be offering subscription services for all broadcasted meets. A complete rate schedule will be highlighted in future issues of Lane Lines.
