Positions
Aqua and Dryland Fitness Instructor
Minimum Age: 18
Certifications: Aqua Fitness Instructor, Aqua Aerobics Instructor, Dryland Fitness, Silver Sneakers or any
equivalent specialty/ certification preferred.
Pay: TBD upon hire
Shifts Available:
- Must be able to teach at least twice per week, Monday through Friday / preferably mornings and/or early
afternoons
Job Duties:
- Instructs patrons on effective workout methods; explains proper techniques, demonstrates exercises; identifies
different muscle groups, and teaches appropriate methods to strengthen specific muscles. - Prepares appropriate equipment, music, and handouts for each class.
- Assists patrons, answers questions, and maintains a positive exercise experience for members and class
participants.

Lifeguard Instructor
Minimum Age: 19
Experience: Has at least 1 year experience teaching American Red Cross Lifeguarding, LG Recertifications and CPR courses, and is comfortable managing a class independently.
Certifications: American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor
Job Duties: Teach American Red Cross Lifeguarding to class participants; thoroughly test to meet the certification requirements; hold students accountable in meeting the ARC curriculum; complete required certification paperwork and submit to Certifications Coordinator for review and submission to American Red Cross.
Shifts Available: Varies, depending on seasonal course schedules.
Hiring Range: $17.50 – $20.00/hour, based on experience.

Customer Service Specialist
Job Duties: Greet patrons; manage patron entry, operate cash register; assist in emergencies, answer and direct phone calls, program registration, and any other assigned duties as needed; computer skills recommended; must be able to verbally communicate effectively with both public and staff. All candidates must have high customer service skills as we are a customer and community focused organization.
Shifts Available: Varied shifts; including holidays, weekends and evenings up to 30 hr/wk.
Hiring Range: $12.00-$14.00/hour

Lifeguard
Certifications: American Red Cross certified Lifeguard, CPR for Professional Rescuer, First Aid.
Job Duties: Responsible for the safety of pool patrons by preventing accidents and responding quickly to emergency situations; must know and be able to perform all skills required for certifications; must follow and enforce all pool policies and rules at all times; perform routine maintenance to pool area, i.e., vacuum; pick up trash, etc.; must be able to verbally communicate effectively with both public and staff.
Shifts Available: Varied shifts; including holidays, weekends and evenings up to 30 hr/wk.

Swim Lesson Instructor
Triangle Aquatic Center (TAC) is currently seeking part-time Swim Instructors. Previous swim instructor experience or participation as a year-round swimmer is preferred. Red Cross First Aid / AED / CPR certification is also preferred but not required. Please apply with a resume highlighting any pertinent experience. Minimum age is 16 years old to be a TAC Instructor.
Skill Set: Able to work with children and adults. Friendly demeanor with great customer service skills. Passion for teaching learners how to swim!
Job Duties: Teach swim lessons for beginner to experienced youth and/or adults. Work along side our team of swim instructors to provide swimmers with a top notch program and instruction. The opportunity to provide private swim lessons to swimmers is available and coordinated by the Programs Manager.
Shifts Available: Weekday evenings, weekends
Hiring Range:$12.00-15.00/hour based on experience

Event Staff
Skill Set: Staff needed to be Timing Operators and Admission/Heat Sheet Sales. No previous experience necessary. These are perfect jobs for college/high school students.
Job Duties: Timing Operators will work timing console for events. Full training is provided. Admission/Heat Sheet Sales will work events to collect admission fees for all designated TAC events. Cash handling experience preferred. BOTH POSITIONS MUST BE ABLE TO WORK NIGHTS AND/OR WEEKENDS
Shifts Available: Weekday evenings and weekends
Hiring Range: $12.50-$15.00/hr
