Happy New Year! Short-course season resumes this coming weekend with the 2023 TITANS Polar Plunge Meet, January 13-16. Polar Plunge will feature nearly 800 athletes from North Carolina and Virginia swimming in this 8-session event. Friday night kicks off with a Timed Finals session. Saturday and Sunday feature morning Prelims and evening Finals for our 13&O swimmers and each afternoon will feature our 12&U swimmers in Timed Finals. Monday morning will offer a Time Trial session.
The meet is brought to you by all TAC sponsors and this event will feature Northwest Designs, Poolside Grill, Jolyn Swimwear and the Sonesta Hotels. Saturday for lunch our TITAN families will compete in our annual Soups and Stews Kickoff for the coaches and official’s lunch sponsored by Lucky 32 Southern Kitchen and Speedo. We will also feature a Coaches and Official’s reception immediately following Saturday finals.
This event is open to Spectators and is free of charge to attend. No one is permitted to bring in deck chairs to the Spectator Stadium but may do so in the Atrium as long as they do not block any entrance or exit. The parking lots surrounding the TAC buildings are reserved for meet officials and coaches only. Please park in the new West Parking Lot or at the former Cary Towne Center.
