The premier event of our December Championship season returns to TAC with this weekend’s TYR Blizzard Blitz. Nearly 500 top athletes from North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia will compete in this meet that counts towards the USA Swimming’s Virtual Winter Junior Nationals Championship. The meet kicks off Thursday evening with the 1000 Freestyle sessions and then Friday through Sunday we will have 2 flighted Prelim sessions and then evening Finals. This weekend’s meet is sponsored by TYR, the Center’s and TITANS apparel partner, along with the Poolside Grill, Smart Athlete Physiotherapy, Endurance Edge, Blended Light Photography and Northwest Designs.
As with our other events during the phased reopening due to the pandemic, several important restrictions do apply for this meet. Only active swimmers, coaches and meet personnel are permitted inside TAC. There are no spectators permitted for this event. Our parking lots surrounding our Facility will be closed to all traffic – please park in the new South Parking Lot or at Cary Towne Center. All swimmer drop off and pickup should us the drop off/pickup lane ONLY.
