The Triangle Aquatic Center is the proud host of the 2018 Strategic Systems Big Southern Classic Meet, November 9-11. This is the first large short course meet for the 2018-2019 season at TAC. Nearly 900 swimmers from across North Carolina, Virginia and South Carolina will be attending. The Blood Connection will also be hosting a Blood Drive on Saturday 11/10 from 10am-1pm during the meet. All blood donors will receive their choice of a $10 Starbucks or Chick-fil-A gift card.
The meet gets started on Friday with a timed finals session, warming up at 3:30pm and the meet getting underway at 5pm. Saturday and Sunday feature three sessions each with morning prelims (13&O swimmers), afternoon timed finals (12&U swimmers), and evening finals. Prelims warm up each day at 7am and the meet starts at 8:30am. The timed finals session warm up at 11:50am with the meet getting underway at 1pm. Finals warm up at 4:30pm and the meet starts at 5:45pm.
TAC Patrons, Meet Swimmers, Spectators, Rec Swimmers, Program Families – The parking lot at TAC is reserved for Coaches and Officials only. Everyone else must park in the lot at Cary Towne Center. All Rec Swimmers and Program Parents MUST get a wrist band from the front desk to go downstairs to the pools. All Program Parents are not allowed on the competition pool deck and must remain in the downstairs lobby.
The meet is open to the public and admission is free. Come and checkout the area’s finest young swimming talent.
